My name is Mad, and I've been a barista in Nashville for a little over 5 years. Who knows, I might've made you a drink once or twice.
As a career barista and someone with a passion for fine coffees and brewing as a craft, I dabbled with brewing chai concentrate for a shop I worked in years ago. I left that shop and never really thought about it again... until now.
I developed Madchai with the intention of creating a chai that is enjoyed by coffee buffs, tea lovers, and fellow baristas alike- something so rich, well-balanced, and the right kind of sweet that everyone feels warm when they drink it. In doing so, I still wanted to maintain authenticity and honor the traditional brewing methods of masala chai- sourcing select spices and Assam tea through local Indian grocery and spice retailers.
Madchai was carefully developed to balance layers of intense spices, creating a smooth and flavorful sipping experience. And it's a damn fine compliment to espresso, get it dirty.
